Windswept Vessel - No. 2

A study of clay pushed into motion. Each ridge is shaped by hand, forming a spiral that recalls the windswept circle of lust in Dante’s Inferno. Built from black stoneware, the vessel is glazed in alabaster white before being carefully wiped back, exposing the dark clay along each ridge and revealing the gestures beneath. The contrast traces the movement of the surface as it spirals upward, giving depth to every fold. Both vessel and sculpture, it stands as a defining expression of Objets Obliques: elemental, textural, and charged with quiet intensity.

Hand-built stoneware finished with glaze. Suitable for use with water. Maintain with a soft, dry cloth.
