Specular Bloom

A continuation of the windswept form, opened into bloom. The vessel rises in layered ridges, each one carved and drawn upward, echoing the unfolding of a tulip held in motion. Strata-like surfaces ripple across the body, holding a tension between weight and movement, as the form twists gently towards the sky.

Hand built through an additive process, the clay is shaped and carved to reveal depth within each fold. The pale exterior remains raw and tactile, preserving the trace of each gesture, while the interior is finished with a chrome-like glaze that gathers and reflects light. This contrast between matte and mirror lends the piece a quiet luminosity, shifting subtly with its surroundings.

Both vessel and sculpture, it continues the exploration of the windswept line — here softened into something more open, more expansive, yet still grounded in movement and form.

Hand built stoneware with glaze. Suitable for use with water. Maintain with a soft, dry cloth.
