Shadow Edge Vessel - No. 1

A study of stone held in motion. Formed in Vulcan stoneware, the vessel stands in solid, rectangular planes, while the upper edge lifts into soft waves shaped entirely by hand. Left intentionally unglazed, the surface reveals every mark, slip, and subtle shift of touch, allowing the material’s natural depth to remain visible. The contrast between mass and movement gives the piece a gentle tension, as though caught mid-gesture. Both vase and sculpture, it offers a grounded presence with a single line of softness at its crest.

Hand-built in stoneware, unglazed. Suitable for use with water and best cared for with a soft, dry cloth.
